Q: How do I apply for an NCSY Summer Program?

Q: I just finished my NCSY Summer application! What are the next steps?
A: Upon completion of your online application, you will receive a confirmation email with the next steps. All NCSY Summer Programs require a short interview as part of the application process (via zoom, FaceTime, or just a phone call). To secure one’s interview, each teen will be required to submit 2 letters of recommendation (found here) and their General Camper History Form, which can be accessed on their Camp-In-Touch Account, under forms and documents.
All programs will be accepting applicants on a rolling basis. You can expect to have an answer about three weeks after the interviews have been conducted.
Q: Are scholarships available for NCSY Summer Programs?
A: Yes! The financial aid application is available in your CampInTouch account. Scholarship decisions are based on need and are made after an applicant has been accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, many outside organizations offer scholarships for summer programs. You might consider calling your local Federation, ZOA, JCC, Synagogue or local NCSY office for scholarship assistance.
Q: Is there a sample itinerary?

Q: Can I extend my stay in Israel?
A: Yes. To extend a ticket, you will need to contact the Summer Programs Associate assigned to your program. He or she will give you the direct email address for our travel agent who will make the accommodations. Program Associates cannot arrange flights. Note: There will be a fee to the travel agent to change one leg of the group flight. Any additional fees associated with the change are the responsibility of the program participant.

Q: Does the tuition listed on the application include all program fees?
A: The price listed on the application includes the application fee and base cost for the program. For all domestic programs, the flight is NOT included in this price. For all international programs, the flight cost is included in this price (for group flights leaving from NY/NJ). All connecting flights are not included in this price. Medical insurance is included in the cost of the tuition for all non-pre-existing conditions.
Some additional, not mandatory costs may include travel insurance, canteen, swag, spending money, free-shabbat (if requested) and cell phone plans.
