NCSY is teaming up with United Hatzalah to raise $72,000 in 72 hours for a brand new ambucycle and summer scholarships.
The ambucycle will deepen NCSY’s connection and signify its commitment to Israel year-round through the life saving work of United Hatzalah. The ambucycle will be presented on stage at Yom NCSY –– the annual mega-event that brings together 2,500 NCSY teens, staff, and supporters –– on July 17 at Park Raanana. The campaign also raises scholarship funds to ensure every deserving teen can be inspired by one of NCSY’s 20+ life-changing summer programs.
Fully-equipped emergency response ambucycles allow United Hatzalah volunteers to race through traffic jams and narrow alleyways to an emergency. The difference between life and death can be a difference of minutes, even seconds, which is why it is so important that with the ambucycle, average emergency response time is just 3 minutes; in city centers, that drops down to 90 seconds.
For over 30 years, NCSY Summer has been the leader in premier Jewish summer programs. With more than 2,000 current NCSYers participating in 20+ unique programs across the US, Israel, and Europe, NCSY Summer is one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences of a person’s life. Each year, NCSY provides hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to ensure every Jewish teen has the opportunity to be inspired by the life-changing experience of a summer devoted to fostering positive Jewish identity, connection to Israel, leadership training, volunteerism and chesed, Jewish learning, and more.
